Aix-en-Provence

In front of Cezanne's atelier on the outskirts of town. "Admirers of Paul Cézanne know it well, it is here that we feel the presence of the painter with the greatest intensity. He created his shelter there, a place of work and contemplation, from where on sunny days, he painted in "le motif".

Typical view walking down a street.

Cruising around the main fountain in French style.

Main fountain at Promenade entrance.

If you detect a grimmace it's because I just found out I may have just eaten a small piece of donkey sausage.

Sweets never looked sweeter.

My first of many gelatos. I think I liked the server more than the actual ice cream...was better in Italia but shhhh don't tell her.

Smiles - the universal language. Porquis je ne parle pas le francias.

To me Aix was about gorgeous sunlight, crispy french bread, and the colorful produce in the town's market.
